About Naledi Chunga

Luanaledi Chunga is a medical doctor with experience as a volunteer and a professional at the Centre for Disease Research in Zambia, where she works as a clinical research mentor. Luanaledi cofounded the Walk With Me Foundation, an organization that is centered on bettering the mental health of the Zambian population holistically. She holds a bachelor's degree in Surgery and Medicine and a bachelor's degree in Human Biology. Because she suffers from a connective tissue disease, Luanaledi has experienced firsthand the flaws in the healthcare systems and the importance of equity and access. She is passionate about ensuring that advancements are made in universal health care so that one day there may be universal access to health care. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Luanaledi hopes to combine her life and Fellowship experiences to have a more impactful role in policy formulation within the health sector.
