Preparing the New Generation of Global Problem Solvers

Martin Kailie, Peter Nasielski, and Dana Armstrong in Sierra Leone.

About Global Education for All

Committed to educating the next generation of problem solvers and change makers, UC Davis is working towards Global Education for All—a goal aiming to provide 100% of our undergraduate, graduate, and professional students with global learning opportunities that change their lives and our world.

Our students are developing skills needed to succeed in this interconnected world through global academic, experiential, and leadership opportunities such as:

  • study abroad and away,
  • internships, externships, and traineeships,
  • virtual international collaborations,
  • hands-on learning and research that take on global challenges in our backyard and beyond,
  • living and learning communities that connect culturally diverse students with each other and the resources of our global campus,
  • and more.

What Does Global Learning Look Like?

Global learning at UC Davis is a combination of local, regional, national, and international experiences through which students develop key skills, knowledge, and networks that help them build global awareness, engage global diversity, and pursue collaborative and equitable global action.

Global Teaching and Learning

It is critically important that our teaching and learning includes global and intercultural experiences—and that we continue to expand avenues beyond traditional study abroad, such as online course content or virtual international collaborations.

Global Learning Hub

Through the Global Learning Hub, each and every UC Davis student can find global learning opportunities available on campus, in the region, virtually, and internationally. The Hub offers global learning programs, workshops, and resources that enhance all UC Davis students’ academic and career pursuits through four broad areas of opportunities: Community Engagement, Global Skills and Leadership, Internships and Research, and Study Abroad.
