Bio
 

Mr. Cerezo holds an MS in Soil and Plant Nutrition, from Brazil in 1987, and a BS in Agronomy from the University of Panamá in 1981. Mr. Cerezo is currently the head of the reforestation program for the Panamá Canal Authority, where he works to control erosion within the critical area for canal operation, develops alternatives for restoration of vegetation cover in degraded land and works in environmentally sustainable community programs. As a Humphrey Fellow, Mr. Cerezo hopes to gain experience in land use planning for watershed management and to learn about sustainable community planning techniques for managing natural resources.
