Bio

Mr. Louis Jacques obtained his Bachelors degree in Agronomy Faculty and Veterinary Medicine (FAMV) with a specialization in natural resources and environmental management. In 2005, he co-founded CONSULTEX, a private company which works in the agricultural, environmental and engineering sectors. Helped by a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals, he provides technical services in various fields assisting local collectivities, municipalities, public and private institutions and the central government. For the past three years, Mr. Louis Jacques has actively participated and implemented numerous successful projects in several remote areas in Haiti. After January 2010, he was engaged by the Protection Civil Office in Petit-Goâve and volunteered for the Food Security Cluster. As a Humphrey Fellow, he will focus on watershed modeling in order to address significant problems related to flood risk assessment in Haiti.
