Mr. Jean-Baptiste received a Bachelor degree in Economic Sciences at the State University of Haiti in Cap-Haitian City, and a second degree in Forest Engineering at the Universidad ISA, Dominican Republic. As an agronomist, he works as a Project Coordinator of Banana Production at AGRITRANS SA, working to promote food security in Haiti, as agricultural production is insufficient in meeting the needs of its population living in poverty. During his Humphrey year, he plans to study agriculture and rural development, focusing on the management of development projects. Moreover, Mr. Jean-Baptiste would like to learn new food security and banana production strategies in order to bring this technical knowledge of agricultural interventions to small farmers in Haiti to help alleviate poverty.
