The PIE News features the Global Aggie Award for LGBTQIA+ Rights
UC Davis has launched the Global Aggie Award for LGBTQIA+ Rights, an award aimed at funding students in their pursuit towards global learning and advocacy work that advances LGBTQIA+ rights. This award was launched thanks to UC Davis’ former Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor and former Interim Chancellor Ralph J. Hexter, and his husband Manfred Kollmeier.
UC Davis’s Global Learning Hub within Global Affairs will be managing the applications and directing student internships, projects, research and learning that promote and address LGBTQIA+ well-being and/or rights with a global dimension. Recognizing that the security of LGBTQIA+ individuals is a vital, global priority, UC Davis is eager to celebrate and fund students in their pursuit towards a more inclusive future for all.
