The University of California, Davis, is a global university.
Whether you are a student, visiting scholar, faculty, staff member, alumni or supporter of our diverse UC Davis community, we are proud to partner with you in our Global Affairs mission to inspire global curiosity, understanding, and engagement.
We welcome the world to UC Davis, including our 10,000 international students and scholars from 140 countries, and we connect our UC Davis community with the world. We belong to regional and global networks and associations and maintain more than 150 global partnerships, all of which serve as bridges for connecting you with tremendous academic, research, and professional opportunities. With each new academic year, it is exciting to see new prospects for us to collaborate across boundaries in pursuit of new discoveries and solutions for global challenges. Global Affairs is here to help—from providing a diversity of funding and awards to offering robust travel security resources, and more.
This academic year, we are particularly enthusiastic about two strategies priorities.
- Our UC Davis Big Idea of Global Education for All is a goal aiming to provide 100% of our undergraduate, graduate, and professional students with global learning opportunities that change their lives and our world. One major step towards this goal is our new Global Learning Hub, a physical and virtual network where each and every UC Davis student can find global learning opportunities available on campus, in the region, and across all seven continents.
- Our Global Centers initiative is aimed at strengthening and enhancing the university’s academic, research, and engagement efforts beyond the boundaries of campus, leveraging UC Davis strengths, expanding mutually-beneficial partnerships in regions around the world, and addressing common challenges—often as related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our first Global Center, in Latin America and the Caribbean, is set to launch this spring in Santiago, Chile, building off our very strong ties with the region, including through our UC Davis Chile Life Sciences Innovation Center.
As you browse our website, I hope you discover opportunities, partnerships, and resources that support you as you take your global pursuits to the next level!
