Campus and Community Find Common Ground for Eid al-Adha Celebration

Despite its proximity to campus (the Islamic Center of Davis is directly across the street on Russell Blvd), Muslim students at UC Davis didn't feel entirely integrated with the Muslim community who attended the mosque in Davis. In total, the 2018 UC Davis Mandela Washington Fellows planted 30 trees in Woodland, pruned and mulched 59 trees along the Davis greenbelt, harvested 960 pounds of produce and volunteered eight hours to prepare and serve meals for Davis Community Meals.

Titcho Farima Kone Kito of Burkina Faso spoke on behalf of the undergraduate class and Zidong Li of China represented graduate students.
